Dark Romanticism embraced the irrational, the eerie and the grotesque. Its writers delved into nightmares, disturbances of the mind and the darker aspects of humanity, blurring the line between reality and the surreal. Their aim was not to separate nightmare from waking life but to dissolve the boundary between them, creating haunting, thought-provoking works that explore the depths of the human psyche.

Oh, Death! is an anthology of English Romantic poetry, with verses by Edward Young, Felicia Dorothea Hemans, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Robert Southey, William Wordsworth and many more, carefully selected by Claudio Rocchetti.
